The International Network to Analyze, Communicate and Transform the Campaign against FGM, INTACT, is establishing this online Community to provide a forum and a platform for dialogue and communication on FGM. This FGM Community is an online space for researchers, activists, program specialists, NGO staff, and others who are involved in the movement against FGM. The community provides a meeting space, a resource library, a multi-way channel of communication about FGM issues, ideas and events. The goal of the FGM Community is to advance the quest to end the practice of FGM through enhancing communication and feedback, identifying gaps in knowledge, sharing lessons learned and more. Members of the community are encouraged to suggest ideas for discussion, news to disseminate, resources and events to share with other members. INTACT network is an international group of researchers, scholars, and activists committed to bringing scientific evidence to bear on the campaign to end FGM. This is done through the assessment of the current status of relevant research, developing an active network for communication, and promoting essential scientific analysis that will support the abandonment of this harmful practice. INTACT is managed by the Population Council.
